Twiggy, a fashion icon that some consider to be the world’s first “supermodel,” is the new face of L’Oreal Professional. She’ll be promoting the brand’s professional hair line. 

Twiggy told the Daily Mail, “I am absolutely delighted. I truly believe in the skill of the professional hairdresser and am so proud to represent the brand.”

At 65 years old, she has finally been letting the world know her real name, which is also the name of her website, TwiggyLawson.co – but she was born Lesley Hornby, before marrying British actor/director Leigh Lawson.

Twiggy has also been the face of Olay, a guest judge on America’s Next Top Model, and has launched a line of bed linens on HSN. Plus, her successful fashion line is sold at Marks & Spencer in the UK, and at M&S online. She’s wearing items from the line above.

It’s not the first time L’Oreal partnered with an older spokespersdon – Dame Helen Mirren scored a reported $9 milion deal last year, at age 69.
